On-Ice Training

Building on general and sport-specific off-ice preparation, the potential to become a good hockey player depends almost entirely on practical work on the ice.

We use exercises that apply to real game situations:

– starting speed
– basic skating elements
– advanced skating elements, including power skating
– movement with changes of direction
– deceptive moves, tight turns and dekes
– high-speed puck carrying and puck control
– work in pairs, body positioning
– various types of shots
– passing technique
– small-group play
– one-on-one battles
